Totally predictable, no surprises. I can not fanthom WHY GWB is STILL the US president. He should have been impeached a very long time ago. In fact, he should not even have had the chance to be president. But alas, a person with no-brains-at-all STILL is the US president. I wonder what that says about the nation; it really is frightening. The increasing hate and distrust that is growing like a cancer in the US is probably just the tip of the iceberg. It is quite obvious that GWB or some oil-rich, ultra-right-wing group behind him stands to gain quite a bucket full of money with the port deal; just as they did with the invasion to Iraq and with the frauds at Enron. I spent 8 years wondering why Clinton was still President, when the guy was such an obvious criminal that he actually had to fire federal prosecutors when he took office in order to save himself from prosecution. (The fact that he fired ALL of them, and only rehired the ones who weren't on his trail, didn't disguise what he'd done THAT much!) Brett thinks Cliton was a criminal, I think GWB is far worse than that. To each his own. But we seem to agree that both presidents were benefited by an uninterested, apathic american public. In fact, has any US president ever been impeached? Not that I know of. Even Nixon was not impeached, he resigned due to the Watergate scandal. Imagine, Nixon had to resign since due to spying on the Democrats. Now GWB can spy on anyone he pleases and nearly no one is outraged about it. How totatlly insane is that?
